I was recently honored to have been selected to present at the World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC) conference in Berlin Germany. It was held in conjunction with the European Chiropractic Union congress (ECU) with attendees from all over the world. The title for this event was EPIC2019, with a heavy emphasis on what we can gain from research and collaboration.
It fit perfect with my talk on The Successful Integration of Chiropractic in the Athletic Training Room. So many of the issues here in the USA regarding lack of communication in health care, especially with athletes, is present all over the world.
There were great research projects presented that blended into the whole collaboration theme, justifying the importance of chiropractic care as part of the health care team for all athletes and non-athletes as well.
My personal mission internationally is to educate health care providers at all levels where chiropractic care fits into the “team” health care spectrum. Every NFL team has a team chiropractor; why can’t it happen in other sports and in other countries. That’s my goal, both home and away…
On a personal side note, I was fortunate to have my wife Marie join me on this trip and even more fortunate for both of us to make it home 3 days before the airline we took went out of business… WOW!
