A Month of Sharing…
April is always a busy month for speaking, teaching, and learning. I had the opportunity early in the month to go back to where I completed graduate school, Palmer College of Chiropractic, where I have not been since graduation in 1985. I was teaching with some of the top presenters in the country, to students and doctors, some of which I played rugby with (back in the day). Next stop had less travel to a program that Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in conjunction with the local chapter of the American Industrial Hygiene Association and the local chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers, a workshop on the subject of “Lifting and Muscular-Skeletal Problems Facing the Workforce in Industrial and Office Settings”.
Then it was back on the road again, or should I say, on a train, to the University of Bridgeport to do a lecture for students and doctors on sports medicine. Packed house, great audience and fantastic participation.
The following week kept me local, for a day, and the honor of presenting at NASA / Goddard “Balance: Creating a Better Office Athlete in All of Us”. I cannot tell you how exciting it is to present to an audience that want to help themselves stay or get healthy, for a company that endorses healthier choices in their employees.
The tour ended at the end of the month with a trip to Palmer College in Port Orange, Florida, speaking to future doctors on the real world of sports chiropractic at the college and professional levels.
Each workshop was different. Every audience was different. But my passion is the same. Educate, Motivate, and Entertain. I developed that mission statement in 1989 when I started speaking, and I am still delivering it. Yes I still see patients, yes I still care for teams, and yes I still am fortunate enough to spend time with my family! Yes. They are all passions of mine that I am fortunate enough to be able to share in all of them.
What’s next? Just wait…
